Hang in there, guys. As others have said, this is a slow process, especially in view of its placement on the physical hardware of the system. Its not something that can be updated with a few mouse clicks (as much as we would have loved that!)

  • Hi Everyone,

Thank you for your patience as we’ve been sorting through some matters that have caused us to put a choke hold on our flow of information about this project for the last few weeks.

Shortly after our official announcement and unveiling in February we were contacted by a company who was concerned that our name and trademark may cause…[Read more]

Hi Guys, we’re still full steam ahead. You will know right away why we haven’t been posting updates once you see the announcement. Please hang tight in the meantime.

Hey Foefan, we’re full steam ahead on the project as usual.

We also have a rather large update that’s ready to share but we’re under a legal embargo until some deals are finalized. We know you guys are hungry for more info so we’re pushing to get that information ready to announce as soon as possible.

All optical disc systems can play without an attached module.

  • RetroBlox replied to the topic Jaguar and Lynx in the forum ATARI 8 months ago ·

Hey JP. Pretty much anything is feasible and doable as long as there is a demand for it (with the exception of 6th gen and later consoles and systems with weird media formats like Laser Discs). For right now, it’s all about priorities and making sure we’re delivering what we’ve promised so far.

  • RetroBlox replied to the topic Famicom? in the forum NINTENDO 8 months ago ·

No official announcements to make here yet, but you can bet we have a dedicated Famicom module with FDS support (via the plug-in adapter) on our radar for post-launch release.

  • RetroBlox replied to the topic Portable screen in the forum GENERAL 8 months ago ·

Hi Jake. We don’t have any plans at the moment to support anything except classic cartridge-based systems via the Element Module and Blox Bus interface. That’s not to say it’s out of the realm of feasibility, we just aren’t focused on anything but delivering what’s been promised so far.

  • RetroBlox replied to the topic Save states and Game Genie? in the forum GENERAL 8 months ago ·

Save states and game genie codes will be supported. However, there are some exceptions to the rules for save-stating games which will be detailed toward the launch of the Kickstarter.

  • RetroBlox replied to the topic Packaging? in the forum GENERAL 8 months, 1 week ago ·

The modules will be packaged in lovely, well protected boxes that should fit nicely in your bookshelf alongside your games. We will reveal images of the packaging during the Kickstarter campaign.

  • RetroBlox replied to the topic Oydessy 2 games in the forum GENERAL 8 months, 1 week ago ·

Hi Rich, for now we’re focused on delivering the modules that we’ve already confirmed. Odyssey 2 would be cool if the demand was there, though!

  • RetroBlox replied to the topic Included Wireless Controller in the forum GENERAL 8 months, 1 week ago ·

Anyone interested in fighting games should definitely be playing over a wired connection to the module using original controllers. In this configuration not only will you be able to select your favorite controller layout for your system of choice, you’ll also experience almost no perceptible lag.
