RetroBlox, Inc. is a California-based specialty developer, producer, and manufacturer of next-generation video game related products for new and retro game consoles. The company was founded by video game development veterans Bryan Bernal and Eric Christensen. The RetroBlox team at large has a diverse background and has shipped products such as AAA video games like Ratchet & Clank and Titanfall. We’ve also shipped digital storefronts like the Google Chrome Store, consumer electronics like the Vizio M-Series TVs, and TV boxes like the Roku 2, 3, and 4k.
Bryan is a creative leader with 14 years of experience leading project teams ranging from small to really big. Starting at the bottom of the food chain as a game tester at Interplay Productions in the early 2000’s, he later became the project manager of the Ratchet & Clank series at Insomniac Games in Burbank. Prior to RetroBlox, Bryan ventured outside of the games world to digital advertising, building and scaling digital, traditional, social, and experiential projects for companies like Google, Sony, and Toyota. Bryan is an avid retro gamer and collector.
Eric is a software engineer and an ardent collector of classic games. Eric’s 23-year developer career includes time at many of the greats, including Konami, Squaresoft and Insomniac Games. He’s worked in many roles, from Gameplay Director to Principal Engine Programmer and on a wide range of projects. Eric’s most recent work has been Principal Engineer on Titanfall for the Xbox 360 and Lead Engineer on Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection.
